Shopping for Puppy is a lot of fun!  My favorite isle at the grocery store is the pet isle!

  • Ceramic Bowls, these will clean up nice in the dishwasher and the puppy cannot drag them around.  Or these water stands work great.

  • Canidae Dog Food    PAWS or All Life Stages  See more Here

  • Your puppy will need a warm draft-free secure area to sleep in and use his/her wee wee pads, this is where baby gates or Puppy Exercise Pens come in.

  • Plush Toys

  • A Squeaky Toy.

  • Wee Wee Pads, best purchased at Walmart where you can save half the cost.

  • Puppy bed of medium size.

  • Baby Wipes...great for cleaning paws and faces.

  • For the coat use a Metal Comb and Slicker Brush.

  • Puppy Shampoo, something natural like Earth Bath; Buddy Wash; or Mela Miracle, you can find these at Petsmart or Petco.

  • Nail Clippers: the ones that look like little pliers, clippers made for cats are the favorite.

  • Soft treats for rewarding puppy when doing a good job.  Do not give these to the puppy for about three or four days of being in a new home and don't overdo it.  Puppy will feel rewarded with just a taste.

  • Go to Target and pick up 2-3 Baby Blankets, yes real baby blankets; not the thin ones and not the crib comforter.  Your baby will be used to having and dragging one around so it will be very comforting to have one to snuggle in at his new home.

  • A Sweater to keep the baby warm.  Puppy body temperatures are higher than ours, and it's harder for them to keep that temperature.  If you feel cold then your puppy was already cold.  Think about it, when it is 50 degrees outside we wear jackets and turn on the heat!

  • Good wholesome food.  We recommend Canidae all life stages.  Puppies should not eat people food.  There are many things that puppies have allergies to that are common in our diet.
