What are Shichons?

Shichons are primarily a mix of the Bichon Friese and the Shih Tzu. The combination of the two breeds brings out the best qualities of both. One of the qualities of the Shichon is their beautiful coats. Their non-shedding coat is a thick mass of ultra soft waves. Shichons are extremely lovable and entertaining companion dogs. They get their wonderful sense of play from the Bichon and their sweet cuddly nature from the Shih Tzu. They are calm little dogs, friendly, intelligent, social and truly the best of the best.

Shichons are extremely healthy.  Their nose is not as smushed in as the Shih Tzu, therefore, they do not have the same sinus problems.  Their nose is not as long as the Bichon so they still have the same cute Teddybear face.
